Cleveland Journal

Tina Dang

While previous leaders were selected from the writing class, Tina Dang is the first Editor-In-Chief to be selected from the production side. She is also the first female to hold the title since Olivia Smith, who managed the paper during the 2011-12 school year.

Dang, a senior, is entering her third year with Cleveland Publications. Last year, she served as the team's Design Director, overseeing the creative efforts behind the look of the yearbook and newspaper. She was also the lead photographer and was an anchor for Vantage Point, the school's news broadcast.

Dang is an award-winning photographer and earned Superior honors for design at the JEA/NSPA National High School Journalism Convention in April. In June, she represented Washington state at the Al Neuharth Free Spirit and Journalism Conference in Washington, D.C.
