Patrons hold their bid cards high during the “Raise the Paddle” portion of Cleveland’s live auction on Saturday, April 25. The event raised over $50,000 to fund various CHS activities.

The Cleveland PTSA pulled out all the stops to raise money for the students of Cleveland, and it wasn’t for nothing. The Cleveland auction raised over $50,000 to fund various activities and organizations around the school. The auction brought out everyone from politicians to policemen.

The night began with a silent auction before transitioning to a classy dinner where patrons dined on salmon and Portobello mushrooms. PTSA honored Cleveland’s STEM Superstars for their efforts in representing the school and the STEM program. The night ended with a live auction and raise-the-paddle, with many people donating thousands of dollars.

The money raised will help many different programs at CHS, including HOSA, Cleveland Publications, and the music program. Twelve thousand dollars will go toward funding the school’s MTSS program and a sustainability fund. Proceeds from the Dessert Dash went to the Class of 2015.

The PTSA honored 12 students, staff and community members for their commitment to Cleveland’s STEM program.
